The Countess' Costume

The Countess Idril Seregon was widow of several husbands, because she was profiting from them, and always arranged things so that she would inherit of their fortune before a "sudden and unfortunate accident" happens to them… This is where the "black widow" nickname comes from...

The Countess’ costume has been realised almost entirely by Black Widow.

The corset, the armoured skirt, the neckpiece and the bracelets has been made using veggie tanned leather, dyed black, and then engraved and carefully painted gold.

Black suede was glued on the inside of the corset for more comfort. Two leather straps fasten the corset at the back, leaving the back uncovered. The leather collar also sustains the corset, which is attached to it by chainmail spirals of brass rings.

The neckpiece and the spaulders are attached to the corset by metal clasps. The white fur around the neck is two white fox tails. The scales on the shoulders are brass, and are linked together with split rings.

The armoured skirt has been made from multiple leather pieces overlapping one over the other, and riveted onto a softer leather base. It is held in place by a belt buckle at the back of the skirt.

The skirt and forearms in red velvet were sewn in an elastic fabric, allowing more comfort in movements.
