Materials - Stones

At Ess in Chains, we use quality materials. Our mission is to create jewelry and accessories made to last, and that will keep their brightness over the years. Here’s the list of the metals we use in the making of our jewelry, and the caring for each of them.

Cat’s eye
The cat’s eye beads gets their name from the interesting manner that they reflect light (by their fiber-glass composition), remembering the eye of a cat. The beads we use are premium quality (Grade A), then perfectly round, and makes very colourful jewellery and very appealing to young women.

Fossils
Those stones that we use have been formed from millions of skeletons of fossilized sea creatures, which have been made into beads, and then dyed to different colors. The colors are striking, a perfect choice for a piece that will get the attention of your pairs.

Goldstone
Those golden beads are a man made creation. Those beads offer brilliance and shine without equal, because they are formed with tiny golden dust that reflects light. An excellent choice for piece worn in sunlight, where the sparkle and shine will be at it’s best.

Hematite
Hematite is a mineral of metallic gray, which is in fact iron oxide. These beads are marvellously mixed with stainless steel, which creates amazing reflects in the stone. Hematite has more of a serious look, a night at the ball look, but it makes pieces with an everlasting look, and that can be worn with everything.

Tiger eye
We say that this stone of golden brown color (which are mostly found in Africa), brings protection to its wearer. This stone usually possesses a golden light line in its center, similar to the cat’s eye. They produce magnificent pieces when used with gold coloured rings, but can also be mixed well with silver.

Bull’s eye
This stone is a kind of agate that when cut into beads, reminds of the eye of a bull. They are of variable colors, from light beige with white and brown stripes to a plain dark brown. These beads are uncommon, that is what makes the beauty of the pieces they are in.
